Meet the BHP Family
Welcome from Mikasha Wade, BA (she/her/hers)

Mikasha is a recent graduate with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) and a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Counseling. With a passion for supporting individuals, couples, and families, Mikasha is deeply committed to helping people build stronger, more loving relationships and discover pathways to personal growth and healing.

As an African American woman, Mikasha brings a culturally grounded, compassionate lens to her work, with a strong desire to uplift communities that have historically been marginalized or discouraged from seeking mental health support. Her own lived experiences, combined with her academic training and professional background in counseling, social work, and lay ministry, give her a deep understanding of the emotional, spiritual, and relational complexities that clients may face.

Mikasha is especially drawn to working with individuals and couples who are navigating challenges around communication, connection, faith, and identity. Her therapeutic style is warm, respectful, and rooted in empathy. She strives to create a space where clients feel safe, supported, and free to explore both their pain and their potential without fear of judgment.

With a heart for healing and a strong foundation in both clinical and faith-based approaches, Mikasha walks alongside her clients as they work toward greater clarity, wholeness, and well-being—personally and relationally.
