Welcome from Alexi Atkinson
(she/her/hers)

Alexi holds a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from the University of Baltimore and has spent the last eight years working in human resources where she has helped people navigate challenges and embrace new possibilities in their lives at work. Alexi is pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University, graduating in May 2024. She brings a Certificate in Advanced Trauma Treatment from The Ferentz Institute. She also completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training, where she learned techniques for healing the mind, body, and spirit. Alexi is currently training in the Internal Family Systems model.

In her work with clients, Alexi provides a compassionate, nonjudgmental space for healing. Her approach is collaborative and non-hierarchical. Her therapeutic lens is culturally sensitive, feminist, and attachment-based. She offers both practicality and depth, integrating somatic approaches, parts-work, and expressive arts. Alexi believes wholeheartedly that every person  holds creativity, resourcefulness, and wisdom within. She strives to help her clients reclaim these parts of themselves, allowing a greater sense of authenticity, freedom, and self-leadership in their lives.

In her free time, Alexi loves spending mindful time in nature. She also enjoys practicing yin and restorative yoga, drinking a good matcha latte, tending to her house plants, listening to podcasts, and being with her loved ones.
